September Student of the Month

Congratulations to our September Student of the Month.  She is safe, respectful, and responsible.  She excels in attendance, academics, and attitude.  She is a model student. She comes to school everyday ready to learn.  She takes responsibility in her own learning.  She looks, listens, and follows directions the first time they are given.  She is focused, does all of her assignments and turns them in on time.  She scores well in her assessments because of  her awesome study skills.  She volunteers to answer comprehension questions and contributes greatly to our class discussions.  Keep up the super-awesome job!

Student of the Week for the Week of October 8, 2012

Congratulations to our Student of the Week.  He is safe, respectful and responsible.  He is safe when he plays, he follows school and classroom rules.  He is respectful, he follows directions the first time they are given. He is also very polite to his teacher.  He is a responsible learner, he looks at what the teacher shows, he listens for the teacher's voice, and is ready to learn.  He is focused, does all of his assignments, and turns them in on time.  He takes pride in his work, he checks his work and turns them in with little or no mistake.  Keep up the awesome job!

Today was Picture Day!  I'm so glad that we were all finally together; this is our class photo.  This picture was taken by me, Mrs. Rivera, before the photographer took the "real" picture.  I think the class looks marvelous!

Student of the Week for the Week of September 24, 2012

Congratulations to our Student of the Week.  He is safe, respectful and responsible.  He follows all school rules and is a kind friend to all.  He is polite to his teachers and follows directions the first time they are given.  He is a hard worker, he's focused, and tries his best in all that he does.  He's an interested and independent learner.  He sticks to all of his assignments until they are all finished and turned in.  Keep up the hard work!

Congratulations to our Student of the Week.  She is a bright and interested learner.  She takes great responsibility in her learning.  She is always looking at what the teacher is presenting, listening to what the teacher is saying, and doing her tasks right away.  She answers comprehension questions accurately and contributes greatly to our class discussions.  Of course, she is safe, respectful, and very responsible.  She is such a pleasure teach.  Keep up the awesome job!

August Student of the Month

Student of the Week for the week of September 3, 2012

Congratulations to our Student of the Week; he is a safe, respectful and responsible student.  He's safe, he plays safely and appropriately.  He stays in our play area and follows the rules of the game.  He's respectful, he listens to his teachers and follows directions the first time they are given.  He's responsible, he looks and listens to daily classroom lessons and tries to complete all of his work on time.  He stays focused on his tasks and always tries his best.  He keeps track of his materials and brings back his planner and homework envelope daily.  Keep up the hard work!

Class Picture

Our Class Picture will be posted soon, many of the students have been out ill and we have not had a chance to take a complete group picture.  Hopefully we can all rest and get better this weekend and be together again to take our Class Picture.

Music Class

Music class with Ms. Johnson.  We reviewed counting beats and rests, reading notes, and worked on the notes so and mi.  We learned two new songs, each having something to do about the sea and sailing.

Dance Class

Dance class with Mrs. Frauchiger.  We traveled then froze into a statue all within the count of 16.  We used high, medium, and low levels.  We took turns leaping over our partner.  We used scarves to dance in place as well as travel.  We have a dance journal where we enter what we learned after each lesson.

Congratulations to our Student of the Week, she is an excellent student.  She excels in the three A's, Attendance, Attitude and Academic.  Her attendance is awesome.  She comes to school everyday, on time, with all of her materials (homework and food), and is ready to learn.  Her attitude is remarkable.  She is very kind to her peers and teachers.  Her Academic performance is stellar.  She looks, listens, follows all directions the first time they are given, is proactive, and takes responsibility for her own learning.  Keep up the super hard work!
